Having fun with model railways in a way you probably never thought of...

What is Gnine?

Gnine, (the "G" is silent) is a term devised by some members of the Gnatterbox Gn15 model railways forum  to describe the use of N scale trackwork with G scale  to model miniature railways in the 5" to 12 1/4" range. The popular garden railway scales considered are 7/8, SM32, 1:20.3 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:29, 1:32 and 1:35 . The various O scales, though certainly useable in the garden have already made popular use of N scale track and mechanisms and a decision has been made to have them beyond the scope of this site. if you follow the handy dandy converter table to the right you will see how using the differing scales with N scale track leads to a whole plethora of track gauges being covered.
